Challenge is an international Catholic youth leadership club for girls ages 10 – 16, created to support parents in the Christian formation of their daughters. The club provides girls with opportunities for growth in virtue, friendship, leadership skills, and their Catholic faith. Its mission is to prepare adolescent girls to go out into the world as strong, authentic Catholic witnesses and role models, where they can bring the light and love of Christ to family, friends, and their communities.
Challenge’s recipe for success is based on a combination of character formation, apostolic work, and building friendships. This occurs primarily in small teams during the weekly meetings which consist of an icebreaker game, prayer, Gospel reflection, virtue training activity, work on a current apostolic project, and social/snack time. Through this consistent format, along with occasional retreat experiences, Challenge girls steadily grow in their ability to bring Christ’s message and care to every soul they encounter, and live lives of prayer, virtue, and service to God.
